Howard University

Education helps shape our future leaders. As part of our commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and giving back, The Nature’s Bounty Foundation, the charitable arm of NBCo., is excited to announce its new scholarship program with Howard University. The Nature’s Bounty Co. Scholarship Fund includes a $25,000 donation, recruitment efforts and more

The Fund, which is awarded based on academics and financial need, will provide one $5,000 scholarship every year for five years and specifically supports freshmen and sophomores pursuing a bachelor’s degree from the University’s School of Business.

The establishment of The Nature’s Bounty Co. Scholarship Fund supports the important work of our Black Affinity Group. Together, our goal is to create greater understanding and appreciation for the issues Black and African Americans face.

In addition to the scholarship, The Nature’s Bounty Co. Talent Acquisition team is participating in active recruitment efforts at the University, including career/job fairs, internship recruitment and speaking opportunities.

“The Nature’s Bounty Co. Scholarship Fund will provide Howard’s business students with much needed funding to support their education,” said Beverly Lee-Wo, Director, Corporate Social Responsibility for NBCo. “Black students often face a disproportionate amount of debt throughout their college careers. Our hope is that the Fund will eliminate this very real barrier and increase the likelihood of their success at Howard and in their career.”

“We are thankful to The Nature's Bounty Co. for this generous donation, which will support five students over the next five years,” said Dr. Kanika Jones, Howard University Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. “Financial struggles often adversely impact academic success and retention, so when donors like The Nature's Bounty Co. step forward to remove this barrier to student success, they are directly ensuring a more diverse workplace.”

Howard University is a private, federally-chartered and historically black university in Washington, D.C. that was founded in 1867. To apply, contact the University’s Office of Student Affairs.
